Hoodia is NOT Ephedra!
April 30, 2009
Some people might be wondering about hoodia, and wondered how safe it is. Why wouldn’t anyone wonder that?
You can be assured that hoodia is much safer than Ephedra, which is created from the harmful herbal substance called ephedrine. However, make sure what you take is the hoodia gordonii.
The h. gordonii is the only version of this plant that contains the P57 enzyme, which is used to help suppress appetite. This is much safer than other herbal supplements, such as Ephedra which are potentially fatal. (In fact, this product as well as any other ephedrine-based product is now banned from the market.)
Hoodia vs. Ephedra
The product hoodia, as already mentioned, is an appetite suppressant. It has been used to curb hunger pangs for thousands of years. African Bushmen were the first group of indigenous people to try this plant for this purpose.
They consumed it during long hunts in the Kalahari Desert, perhaps because they needed to eat something. Since this time the authentic hoodia which is taken from matured plants (after about five years) has been produced and sold.
It has helped many people, far more than ephedrine which you already are aware is potentially deadly and dangerous. Also any ephedrine-based product such as Ephedra is a stimulant, which is probably just as harmful as illegal street drugs.
Got something to say?
